Discipline Policy

Bremen First United Methodist Chruch Preschool practices redirection most often.  Redirecton is the practice of offering a child 2 solutions to a prolbem.  If the issue is sharing, a child can choose another toy, or take turns. We also praise children who are behaving well.  This practice is amazing at helping children make the right choices.  All children want to please and we are sure to give many opportunities throughout the day for them to display good choices.  The time out procedure is also used when needed.  A child will sit in the "corner" for one minute for every year of age.  For example, a 2 year old would sit for 2 minutes.  If we see an issue that may need to be discussed with the parent, you will be contacted to set up a time and a date.
